CONTEXT SWITCHING
It is conditional logic. In one game, A=1. In another game A=11. In another game A=13. Depending on the rules of the game, the context of the purpose and value of a card changes. You have to remember what A=_ and switch your memory of its value or you will not be able to play the game.
TRADITIONAL CARDS ARE IRRATIONAL & ILLOGICAL
When A≠A then True=False in logic and the disconnect is jarring.
In the picture above, a child is told that a Q+A=K and J+2=K in one game and a J+A=21 in another game.
This defies their logic of being told that A=A and worse that you can add letters and numbers together and create another letter or a number. Worse still, that you can add completely different letters together and get the exact same letter if you mix it with a certain number.
The child throws their hands up in the air and says it makes absolutely no sense to add letters and numbers together. This is where context-dependent knowledge comes from and forces context-switching to occur, just to play a game of cards.
THE FEELING OF BEING BRAINWASHED
Although the conditional logic or context switching as it runs counter-intuitive to everything that a child has ever been taught in logic that A=A and 1=1, it is not a stretch of any imagination to say that the child or any average person will claim that it feels like they are being brainwashed to use a traditional deck of cards because an absolute is an absolute under any and every circumstance.
It is jarring for anyone when they are told to discard everything they know about common sense and logic and adopt a new absolute or a new truth that is not absolute at all, just to play a card game.
Context-dependent knowledge, or more simply put, conditional logic, creates a hidden contradiction whereby a traditional deck of cards pretends cards have intrinsic meaning, while in reality, all value is externally imposed by the rules of the game that forces the player to continuously perform context switching, even though the visual design of the cards implies a single, stable identity.
Does A=A? Not in this game, A=1 (solitaire)
What about this game? No, A=1 or 11 (blackjack)
What about this Game? No, A=13 (poker)
This behavior is in every in every card game that uses a traditional deck of cards from casino games of blackjack, baccarat and poker, to social games of hearts, spades, and solitaire, each of them require "context switching" that defines what the value of each card is first then how they are used in the rules of the game.
This "context-dependent knowledge" that has to be acquired at the start of every card game that uses a traditional deck of playing cards despite the fact that the player inherently knows that you cannot

SOLITAIRE GAMES OF CARD SORTING ≠ ARE ILLOGICAL
When a child is told to stack cards like that in order to resolve a traditional game solitaire, they once again, throw their hands up in the air and ask why:
Q on top of a K?
Q comes after K in the Alphabet
This makes no absolutely sense to a child.
J on top of a Q?
What happened to the rest of the letters of K, L, M, N, O & P are next in the English Alphabet?
It gets worse, these may not even exist in all other languages.
This makes no absolutely sense to child and then it get worse when you tell them how to stack numbers on top of letters in order to resolve a game.
10 on top of a J?
You don’t put numbers on top of letters.
This makes no absolutely sense to a child.
A on top of 2?
You don’t put letters on top of numbers.
This makes no absolutely sense to child.
Yet that is exactly what the rules force the player to do.
In a game of blackjack, an Ace can have the value of a 1 or an 11.
In a game of poker, an Ace is the most valuable card in the deck and the "A" comes after the "K".
In a game of Solitaire, the Ace is the least most valuable card in the deck and it's math value = 1.
In a game of Blackjack, the 10, Jack (J), Queen (Q) and King (K) all have the same value of 10, yet in a game of Blackjack the Ace (A) has a completely arbitrary value of 1 or 11 whereby adding an Ace with any numbered card with a value of 10 or any other lettered card can arbitrarily equal a numerical value 11 or 21.
In a game of Spades or Hearts, the Queen of Spades is given a value of 13.
In short, each has an associative value based on the context of the game they are being used in.
FULL COLOR® CARDS PUTS AN END TO IT ALL
As seen in the first picture of this article, there are games in solitaire where the cards are combined to add up and create a mathematical value, like a game of Pyramid where the object of the game it to take two cards and combine their face value to get a score of 13 in order to remove the two cards from the game and into the discard pile like a 6+7=13. But adding letters and numbers in the real world is pure madness.
LETTERS AND NUMBERS DO NOT ADD UP IN REAL WORLD MATH
Letters and numbers do not mix, until you make the immutable, mutable by remapping them to an arbitrary value defined by a rule set in a game in order to make the game resolve.
GLOBAL DISORDER IN LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH
A traditional deck of cards uses the indicia, symbols or pips from the French culture.
Queen in French = Reine
King in French = Roi
Yet, in a traditional deck of cards, the Queen has the letter of (Q) not (R) and the King has the letter of (K) not (R). No one can explain how this came to be and once again, it doesn't make any sense, and once again, a French child using that deck of cards asks, with even more incredulity, "Why", with the response of "that is the way it is".
It gets even crazier when you go to countries whose alphabets and language doesn't even use letters. They are symbols, ideograms, scripts and or indicia.
In simplified Chinese, the Queen is written as 女王. It is pronounced "Nǚwáng". Once again, explain to a child in China why any of the four queens in a traditional deck is a (Q) and not printed with 女王 or worse, with an (N) that would at least match the English pronunciation of it with (N) for Nǚwáng, or for the French child (R) for Reine. The same goes for languages that use Sanskrit or Cyrillic alphabets.
In a global society, a traditional deck of cards, on its face, is literally, global disorder and global chaos and absolutely every single language and culture has been forced to engage in context-switching.
RESTORING THE LOGIC OF A=A, 1=1 AND NOTHING ELSE
This will never, ever be resolved until you remove 100% of the Aces & Faces off of a deck of cards which inherently strips all letters off of it and make a true universal deck of playing cards where a 1=1 and 10=10, an 11=11, a 12=12 and a 13=13. None of this nonsense and brainwashing to remap the alphabet to a number.
All of this is pure non-sense and you don't realize you've been brainwashed as child to learn how to "remap" the cards to "custom fit" into the rules of a card game for the "sole purpose of making the game resolve."
You do not discover the insanity until as an adult, you try to teach a child this remapping nonsense when they look at you cross-eyed and ask, "Are you stupid? You don't mix numbers and letters of the alphabet together". And you know what? They are right. And in that moment you realize how stupid you are and how innocently correct and smart the child is.
Then you realize, math is math. Numbers are numbers and they are universal and if you're ever going to have a true universal deck of playing cards you can ONLY have NUMBERS and nothing more.

You do not need any face cards of any kind whatsoever to play any of game cards and Full Color® Solitaire proves that when using Full Color® Cards.
The reason why context-switching exists, is caused by one ridiculous fact that all rules in a card games that are built "around a traditional (and ancient) deck of cards" rather than have a deck of cards built around the rules of a game. Every game in the world that uses a traditional deck of cards has it all backwards. It is not a universal deck of cards.
In every card game that has a value assigned to it, it must have a fixed numerical value. If a value doesn't exist, you have to assign it some arbitrary value and then map it to a subset of other values and place it in memory. It only makes sense when a rule that governs its use is explained and that value can change from game to game, which once again, proves a traditional deck of cards is not a universal deck of cards just because it can be found all over the universe. The only thing universal about it, is its dysfunctional way the rules are applied from game type within whatever game format it is used to play in.
A face card by strict definition must be the exact value on its face. 1 = 1; 11 = 11; 12 = 12; 13 = 13 as is every number to infinity. That is rational, simply logic and pure math as it should be and as it is in Full Color® Solitaire to make the games as pure and simple as possible to teach any child how to play and educate them properly without brainwashing them in order to get the game to resolve itself by mapping and remapping values.
