Short strings of cards are removed based on applied logic and memory recollection!

         

Games of Golf test a players skills to calculate the longest possible strings of increasing or decreasing numbered cards that can be removed from the tabletop before a break in numbers while remembering what has already been played before they draw another hidden card from the stock pile to start a new continuity chain.

The goal here in this game format is to strategically remove all of the cards from the tabletop in continuous card chains before they run out of cards from the stock to remove cards!

The higher the card set the greater the degree  in difficulty in choosing the right numbered card to start each run of cards. Modeled after the real game of golf, you get bonuses based  on  how many card are left at the end of the game as follows:

  • 0 Cards = Hole in One Bonus!

  • 1 Card = Eagle Bonus!

  • 2 Cards = Birdie Bonus!

  • 3 Cards = Par Bonus!

  • 4 Cards = Bogey Bonus!

  • >5 Cards  = No bonus!

In a classroom, all students can play the exact same card shuffle and see who ends up with the highest score or wins the game by making the most efficient set of continuous strings of cards!

One of the best ways to test memory and teach continuity theories is the up and down games of golf!

The higher the card set, the higher the bonus!  Not all games of Golf can be won because the shuffle can trap necessary cards to finish a string!  But just because you don't remove them all or end up with 1  or more cards still on the tabletop after you run out stock cards to start your next string with doesn't mean it can't be won!

Because there are a virtual infinite ways to choose how to run your strings of cards with, you can replay the game and often times find a better combination and win,  especially if you end up with 1, 2 or 3 cards left. 

Golf games are quick bursts of entertainment and drive players to play the same game over and over until they win!  

Each game and level pits one person's mind against the other and the winner is based on pure skill and nothing else.
